    Buah mentega atau bisbul adalah nama sejenis buah sekaligus tumbuhan penghasilnya. Tumbuhan ini berkerabat dengan kesemek dan kayu hitam. Buahnya bulat, berbulu halus seperti beludru, coklat kemerahan kemudian merah terang. Penyebutan sebagai buah mentega dan buah lemak merujuk pada bentuk dan bau daging buahnya ketika masak. Sedangkan nama bisbul sendiri konon terinspirasi dari bentuk bola baseball. Buah bisbul dapat dimakan langsung dalam keadaan segar atau digunakan sebagai campuran dalam rujak dan minuman.

    Mentega Fruit or bisbul is the name of a fruit and its tree. These plants are related to the persimmon and ebony. The fruit is round, downy velvety, reddish brown and then a light red. Called as butter fruit and fat fruit refers to the shape and smell of flesh when ripe. While the name bisbul supposedly inspired from the shape of a baseball. Bisbul fruit can be eaten fresh or used as an ingredient in salad and drinks.
